Hi, I'm Odette
I am an artist and muralist living in Seattle, WA. I have a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from Cornish College of the Arts, and a Master’s in History and Archives from Western Washington University.
I use my art to discuss issues like sexism, racism, and environmental exploitation. My work often plays with our expectations: beautiful women spewing expletives, gorgeous flowers known for their terrible smell, or beautiful birds that are the fiercest predators. I think it's important to look beyond our expectations of the people and beings around us to see who or what is really there. My work gives voice to that complexity and opens the door for all of us to redefine how we see each other a little bit.
